What the court never taught you.
The first system built from analyzing how basketball players move, grounded in the biomechanics of ballet, engineered to enhance performance and extend careers.
Trusted by a top-3 Nike EYBL programA reflection of Founder and Executive Director Brian Sitter, who sees the value in developing his players and investing in skills that protect their careers and follow them wherever they go.

Fully personalized training built around your position, body, and goals. The fastest path to visible change in movement, control, and durability.
Bring the system to your whole program. A structured session that scales in real time so every athlete in the room works at the right level.
Train from anywhere. Ongoing remote coaching to maintain progression and accountability between in-person visits — no matter where you're based.
Before I move into the specific performance benefits, this article sets the foundation. To understand why Ballet for Ballers works, we must first understand the true demands of dance, the goal of the program, and the method behind it.

As the 2025/2026 NBA season begins, I invite you to explore an intelligent movement system that blends the power of the court with the grace of ballet — a low-impact, CNS-friendly method that unlocks durability traditional training overlooks.

Training basketball players in ballet reaches muscular demands conventional training rarely touches. New neuromuscular pathways form — allowing strength to exist alongside fluidity, flexibility without fragility, and power with precision.

Before we get to the numbers — and there are numbers that will stop you mid-sentence — I want to talk about something that cannot be measured on a force plate or captured in an injury report: what it means to carry your own body.

Balance, coordination, and stability are not separate qualities in ballet. They are inseparable — together, they create athletes who appear effortless yet are structurally unbreakable.

Growing up in the Balkans, sports were never just entertainment. They were national pride. From a young age I developed a deep respect and appreciation for athletes, shaped by a culture where watching the game was a ritual. The chants, the roar of the crowd, the atmosphere that cannot be put into words, only felt. At the center of it all was my brother, a brilliant young basketball player with the potential for an international career. This was a young man who washed his basketball before bed so he could bounce it off the ceiling, driving me crazy since we shared a room, before falling asleep with the ball in his arms. We followed him from gym to gym, cheering as if our lives depended on it.
One summer, during a U.S. work-study program, he tore his ACL in a pickup game. Without the right guidance, a proper recovery strategy, or the financial means to access the level of care he needed, an injury that should have healed ended his dream instead. In the years that followed, I watched the same story play out across the sport, again and again. Athletes breaking down, careers quietly ending, the body changing the player forever. That is what led me to research how the discipline of ballet could protect them. One of my early inspirations was Kobe Bryant, who spoke at USC about the alignment of dance and sport, giving full respect to the discipline of dancers and how much athletes have to learn from them. Ballet for Ballers was born from all of it. A bridge between the raw strength of the court and the century-honed precision of classical ballet. Not only to enhance performance and make athletes more skillful, but to protect the career that skill is built on. Because with the right training, greatness can be protected before it is ever lost.
Srna is the creator and methodologist behind Ballet for Ballers and the founder of Ôtänamos INC, a New York–based dance nonprofit. She has always believed dance and science belong together — that movement, trained with intelligence, can change bodies, careers, and the way we understand what athletes are capable of.
She is a Ballet artist rigorously trained in the Vaganova Method, who spent 15 years as a corps member and soloist with the National Opera and Ballet in Macedonia, working alongside the highest establishments in ballet across Europe & USA.
As a pedagogue, methodologist, and choreographer with over two decades of artistic leadership, her work spans continents. With highlights including Monaco, Rome, Nice, to an original Off-Broadway production in New York, and notable appearances as performer and choreographer at the Rockefeller Center - Rainbow Room, Triad Theater, Battery Dance Festival, Eden Galleries, Bushwick Open Studios, City Tech BK, Macedonian Opera and Ballet, and many others.
She holds a degree in Methodology and Pedagogy of Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and ran one of Manhattan's most sought-after luxury dance studios. Currently her focus is finding an academic home where she can get her PhD in Sport Science and bring her methodologies and syllabus into a full research.
In 2023 she founded Ôtänamos INC, a New York-based nonprofit delivering movement therapy in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Alzheimer's Association, the New York Academy of Medicine, and Hamilton-Madison House, producing measurable results across the most demanding physical and neurological conditions.
Most recently, collaboration was with EYBL Vegas Elite 17U 2026 team, from an initial two-day workshop to an ongoing collaboration as a traveling coach.
Basketball has never had a kinetic intelligence system built specifically for its athletes. B4B builds athletes who move with intelligence, not just instinct.
The program develops body awareness and spatial perception, sharpens footwork and control, increases vertical explosion, and trains the alignment and landing mechanics that dramatically reduce injuries. The result is an athlete who is more skillful, more creative, more durable, and built to last — on the court and across an entire career.
It is the first fully structured kinetic intelligence system, combining the Vaganova Method and Laban Movement Analysis into a precise, repeatable methodology.
None of it exists anywhere else.
Every program begins here. Based on individual abilities, needs, and physical condition, the method is tailored before a single session starts. No two athletes move the same way — this methodology treats them accordingly.
Deep stretching and joint isolations activate and mobilize the body from the ground up. This is where the CNS is primed — low-impact, recovery-compatible, and unlike anything in standard athletic training.
An original sequence — the product of two years of research analyzing basketball movement, identifying which specific elements of Vaganova Method best protect the body and enhance performance. Every exercise was chosen with precision.
The effortless landing mechanics of a ballet dancer — the ones that protect the body and protect the career — while increasing vertical explosion. Rotational control that sharpens a player's spin move, directional change, and aerial precision.
A framework breaking movement into Body, Effort, Shape, and Space — giving athletes a language to understand, analyze, and refine their own movement efficiency. Kinetic intelligence is not innate. It is trained.
This is not a one-time workshop. Kinetic intelligence takes root through commitment and continuity — the body needs time to absorb, retain, and perform it under pressure.
Every partnership begins with a full week of daily sessions to assess movement and build the foundation. From there, the program is tailored to each athlete or team and continues on a consistent schedule, in person and virtual, wherever they are based.
Every program is fully personalized. Progress is tracked closely. And the work is built around one standard: the athlete comes first.
Vegas Elite is one of the top three teams on the Nike EYBL circuit. What started as a two-day workshop became an ongoing collaboration — Srna traveled with them for the season as their instructor.

"Working with such talented young athletes, the future of the game, was truly a pleasure — educating them and expanding their perspective of what it means to be kinetically intelligent."— Srna
Individual athletes, teams, and coaching staff. Sessions in New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and also available anywhere nationally and internationally upon request.
For coaches, it is an edge no other team has. For player development, the missing layer no program has offered. For parents, an investment that protects your child's body and future. For athletes, how you separate yourself from everyone on the court.
